Maker to Mogul was founded by Glenna Cush, an award winning mentor, multifaceted entrepreneur, coach, business consultant, and owner of ShimmySista, a specialty boutique with two locations in suburban Maryland. With a wealth of experience, Glenna has guided and supported countless entrepreneurs, serving as the marketing director for a small business agency in Maryland for the past 20 years. Her dedication to empowering women extends to her active involvement with various boards and associations.
As a recognized expert in marketing, Glenna serves as a coach, subject matter expert, mentor, and Instructor. She lends her expertise to the Baltimore Metropolitan Women's Business Center at Morgan State University and serves on the board of Forward Women's Leadership Forum (FWLF) . Her years of working with women creatives led her to recognize the need for an organization that supports artisans, makers and creatives seeking to successfully compete in the B to C AND B to B arena. They need support and resources to help them grow, scale, and identify opportunities to expand their creations beyond the kitchen, garage or craft room. Maker to Mogul turns sellers into suppliers and makers into moguls!!
"Glenna has been an invaluable source of guidance and encouragement on my small business journey, and I stand among many women empowered by her remarkable mentoring. Her insightful brainstorming sessions, impactful trainings, and even casual conversations have left me with a wealth of knowledge. I'm incredibly grateful, and feel blessed to have her in my corner!
